All courses are run using Apple Mac computers. Our tutors include fully qualified Apple and Adobe certified trainers.

Evening Courses
NCFE Certificate in Video Production
2 evenings per week over 14 weeks
Start dates Tue 16 & Wed 17 Sept / 6.30pm- 9.30pm
£339 waged or £112 unwaged
A highly successful, nationally recognised course, based on national film industry skill set workplace standards which will take you through the filmmaking process including shooting and editing. Aimed at beginners as well as those who have made films before, you will learn about equipment, how to make your films look professional, the industry and how it works, and how to get contracts and jobs. You will be free to choose whether you make a music promo, drama, advert, documentary or even content for the web.
INTRODUCTION TO WEB DESIGN (Evenings)
Website Creation for beginners
Starts Mon 8 & Wed 10 Sep/6.30 - 9pm/£135 (£120)/2 evenings a week for 3 weeks
Create your own website, from construction to upload, using Dreamweaver, Fireworks and Photoshop. Suitable for those with some basic computer literacy. It is preferrable for students to have content (text and image) that they wish to transform onto the web.
PHOTOSHOP:Digital Image Manipulation for beginners (Evenings)
Starts Thu 11 Sep/6.30 - 9pm/£135 (£120)/6 week course
Learn how to manipulate photographic images, text and graphics on a computer with Adobe Photoshop. Essential for all those interested in desktop publishing, design and photography. Suitable for those with little previous computer knowledge.

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP

Two Saturday workshops designed to give you the tools to create the life you want. Using a combination of NLP and drama based techniques you will become more confident, motivated and fulfilled. Facilitated by Anita Parry a member of INLPTA (International NLP Trainers Assoc.) who is also a Director and Actress. Limited Numbers.

INTRODUCTION TO DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY

Whether you have a digital camera or not, come and discover for yourself the possibilities offered by this exciting revolution. We will show you how to take digital photographs, download them to the computer and use Adobe Photoshop to enhance, manipulate and print out with superb results.

INTRODUCTION TO ADOBE INDESIGN
An introduction to the basic principles of desktop publishing using this state-of-the-art and user friendly software, now the industry standard. Whatever you want to create - business cards, leaflets or perhaps even your autobiography, you'll learn how to lay out pages with text and graphics, manage multi-page documents and save it all for output to print. This course will get you started and leave you in a position where you can continue discovering for yourself.
INTENSIVE WEB DESIGN
This one-to-one course covers the latest techniques of web design, teaching web page development using Adobe Photoshop to layout the design and optimise images, and Dreamweaver to create layout and content for your website. Techniques covered include: slicing images in Photoshop, exporting HTML code and the use of templates and cascading style sheets to further improve workflow. Suitable for people that already have a basic knowledge of web design and/or Photoshop but wish to bring their skills up to date (please call the Media Centre if you are not sure that it is suitable for your requirements).

INTRODUCTION TO AFTER EFFECTS
INTRODUCTION TO FINAL CUT PRO
An intensive one-to-one course that will introduce you to the scope of HDV & DV editing. You will be shown the rudiments of Final Cut Pro as well as how to import, digitise and print back to video. Computer literacy is desirable.
