All The Roads Here
‘All The Roads Here’ is a warm and touching radio drama that tells the true stories of three migrants and their extraordinary journeys to the UK.
Phoenix Media, Action For Education and film-maker Peter Snelling have been working with a group of migrants to create a radio play based on their experiences of coming to the UK. The play has been devised in weekly sessions and performed and recorded by the group which contains men and women from Columbia, Bolivia,Turkey, Bulgaria, Poland and Libya.
The finished piece will be broadcast on Phonic FM and be available to download as a podcast from this website shortly. The play is a revealing insight into lives and stories that remain hidden from the majority of people in the UK.

PROPOSAL FOR NEW CARBON-NEUTRAL MEDIA CENTRE
Having been awarded £15,000 by the Technology Strategies Board, Exeter Phoenix Media Centre have produced a feasibility study to establish the viability of the Centre’s ambitious expansion plans, which include the aim to become the first carbon-neutral centre for digital creative industries in the country.
The initial concept plans combine innovations with tried and tested photo-voltaic and heat reclamation systems to build conventional TV studios that use a mix of natural and artificial light, and incubation spaces for new businesses which encourage and enable low-carbon commercial practice from day one.

IMAGINARY LOUNGE
In the wake of the recent Imaginary Friends screenings outside the Media Centre office as part of Animated Exeter we know have the facility to screen work in the Imaginary Lounge. If anyone has any video artworks that are silent or that have ambient sound that they would like to be played on a loop in the lounge, drop them in, or mail them to, the Media Centre office and we'll see what we can do. Please note that all material must be suitable for all audiences as this is a public space.
